About Managed Care Walker Houses

In Northeast Texas, Managed Care Walker House provides a sober living environment with an intensive outpatient program. This facility is in Lubbock serves men and women with substance use disorders. You can also access medical services and case management, and fulfill court-ordered treatment requirements at Walker House. To be accepted into the program, you’ll need to follow all guidelines, must be active in recovery, and must attend four recovery meetings per week.

Intensive Outpatient Program With Daily Meetings

After enrolling in the intensive outpatient program you can expect to engage in 12 step meetings, psychoeducational groups, and mental health counseling. You’ll receive peer support and attend individual therapy sessions. One past client said, “With their help, I've been 7 years sober now. The Walker House is the only place that I've ever done rehab and I didn't have my phone, so I was able to truly retrain my brain.”

After 30 days of treatment, you’ll be eligible to start working as long as you’ve progressed to the fourth step. I noticed that random urine analyses are given once a week. If you take medication, you’ll need to bring 30 days of medication while you live at Walker House.

A Calming Environment With Satisfied Clients

The benefit of living at Walker House and attending their IOP is that there are local community parks, community resources, and a calming environment for you to heal and thrive in. While they accept most insurance plans, Walker House offers a self-pay option that is $150 per week and includes WiFi and utilities.

During your first 30 days, you're encouraged to attend 30 meetings to help you build a foundation of recovery. I’m impressed that former clients say that Walker House helped them get their life back and that the experience was five stars.
