About Living Word Church

When you look at Living Word Church in Midland, Michigan, you can tell right away that their recovery support is shaped around faith, scripture and real community rather than clinical treatment. Everything they offer sits inside a church environment, not a medical setting.

They’re allied with the Alcoholics for Christ network that started in 1976 and meet on Mondays at 7pm. People come here for peer-led meetings that blend Christian teachings with a 12 Step structure and all the meetings they offer are totally free. Adults can attend the meetings for their own struggles with alcohol or drugs or they can come because someone they love is hurting. It’s open and very focused on spiritual healing.

Support for Families, Adult Children and Incarcerated Individuals

Something that really sets this ministry apart is how far they extend their reach. They have groups specifically for adult children of addiction, which is rare but so needed because those childhood patterns follow people into adulthood.

They also run a prison and jail ministry, bringing the same faith-centered 12 Step model into places where hope can sometimes feel thin. They keep everything peer led and grounded in scripture. And they’re truly focused on helping people rebuild their spiritual identity.
