About Lifewell Oak

Most programs are structured and include core components such as individual and group therapy, family counseling, medication management, skill development, psychiatric care, peer support, medication management, self help groups, and aftercare support. Evidence based therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.

Residents in Lifewell’s behavioral health programs learn vital skills to achieve and sustain recovery and mental wellness, such as relapse prevention strategies, communication skills, and recovery support tools. Prior to discharge, residents work with a clinician to devise a comprehensive aftercare plan, which may include community based referrals and aftercare support at mutual aid recovery groups or follow up appointments with their doctor or counselor.
