About LifeLinks Mental Health

LifeLinks Mental Health is a mental health center located in Mattoon, Illinois that provides services to children, adolescents, and adults. The facility offers outpatient treatment for not just substance use disorder (SUD) but also mental health care to the community. It also serves as a bridge, connecting people to essential services available in the rural eastern Illinois region.

Outpatient Support for Adults

LifeLinks provides talk therapy to people managing their recovery process. In this way, I think it’s best suited for individuals who have successfully achieved sobriety and want to build skill sets to maintain it. For adults, this includes access to private and group counselling as well as non-medicated dual diagnosis for mental health concerns.

Outpatient Treatment for Youth

While LifeLinks doesn’t target substance abuse in teens, it does provide a wide range of mental health care for younger people in need. I like that this also includes tackling eating disorders which is a concern for this demographic.

Access to Community Care

LifeLinks is a community resource that helps people find support in rural eastern Illinois. This includes providing case managers who can connect people to the following services: nursing services, therapy, housing and work placement, and holistic recovery support for achieving and maintaining sobriety.

If you need assistance, a case worker can help and confirm approved insurance plans.
