About Family Teamwork Inc

Lifeworks Outreach Services (also known as Family Teamwork) serves the families of Northern Virginia from their office in Woodbridge. They provide home based and outpatient counseling services focused on stabilizing individuals and families facing challenges such as substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The facility accepts clients by referral, but you may qualify for services without one.

Their approach identifies each individual's strengths to recognize their value and guide them to their goals. You may feel this makes you feel more involved, as the focus is specifically on what makes you unique.

The Value of At Home Counseling

I like this approach because it seems to me like it would be especially beneficial for children and teens. Counseling can be difficult for anyone, regardless of age, but children can struggle more with opening up and understanding the process. Taking things out of a more clinical setting will at least create a warm atmosphere.

Your Community Support

This facility also provides valuable linkage to other services within the community. These contacts increase the support you and your family can get, not just for SUD but for any challenges you’re facing. It’s a great opportunity to connect with medical and social services as needed.

If you do choose to pursue recovery in Woodbridge, you’ll be able to enjoy the fact that the facility is less than an hour away from DC. I like that you can have the chance to explore various historical places in the area such as the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial.
