About Liahona Treatment Center

Located in Virgin, Utah, is the Liahona Treatment Center Virgin Facility. This is a recovery facility that serves boys who are having struggles with their behavioral health. The care team here is equipped to handle a variety of challenges boys face. Among these challenges are defiant behavior, co-occurring mental health struggles, battles with substance use, and other behavioral health issues.

There’s also a big focus here to teach boys how to have a stronger sense of self-esteem. They are also taught strategies to help them manage their emotions when faced with difficult life situations.

As an educator, I also appreciate that boys will be able to continue working towards their high school diploma through the educational program available. This program provides grade repair and credit recovery services so that boys don’t fall behind academically and can catch up on their school work.

The supportive staff here rallies behind the boys and their families. Children are empowered to build the skills needed to lead a life of health and wellness. One way this is done is through family counseling and structured recreational activities that allow boys to explore different hobbies.

Along with working with a multidisciplinary team of mental and medical health professionals, children will also work through clinical therapies in their individualized recovery plan. This might include counseling, medication management, and crisis intervention services.

The residential facility is welcoming and the boys have private spaces that they can call their own. Dorm rooms can accommodate up to four boys, and it’s a home like feel where the boys can experience a structured schedule.
