About Zion Apartment Program
The Zion Apartment Program is a community-integrated program in Zion, Illinois. Instead of being a stand-alone facility, it's integrated into Lake County Health Department's Behavioral Health division via an apartment complex.
Customized Outpatient Treatment
I really like that this program is tailored to meet your unique needs. Before joining Zion, you'll participate in an interview to discuss your concerns, client rights and responsibilities, risks and benefits, and any fees you'll have to pay for treatment. You'll then participate in assessments and filling intake forms to determine your social, emotional, and physical needs.
You, your loved ones, and your treatment team will work together to create a treatment plan. In addition to medically monitored detox, Zion also offers individual, group, and family counseling services, along with psychiatric consultation and care. Evidence-based treatments, like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), are also available. The community-integrated model ensures you'll have 24/7 access to crisis intervention, relapse prevention, and counseling while being home.
Lastly, they offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT). This combines either methadone or Suboxone treatment with individual and group counseling sessions for people with chemical dependence on opioids.
Soul Food, Coffee, and Nature at Your Fingertips
The Zion Apartment Program is a short drive from beaches, restaurants, cafes, and trails. You can start off with hearty breakfasts and coffee at family-style diners like Coco's Cafe or Lorenzo's Restaurant. Dada's Soul also features catfish, mac 'n cheese, and jerk chicken for a soul food-inspired end to your day.
Zion is a short drive away from beautiful greenery and sandy beaches. Bask in the sun, stroll along the shores of Lake Michigan, or SCUBA dive at Illinois Beach State Park, less than a 15-minute drive away. For something off the beaten path, Millennium Trail and Greenway, offering more than 30 miles of crushed stone and paved paths meandering through lush greenery and prairies, is just a half-hour drive. You can unwind between therapy sessions and even pick up healthy ways of coping with stress.
Payment Options and Accreditations
They accept private insurance, MedicAid, MediCare, and a sliding scale payment arrangement. Before you start, discuss your financial circumstances, number of dependents, and services required to find payment options that work for you.
They're accredited by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization, which has accredited more than 22,000 healthcare programs and organizations across the country.
If you're looking for a community-integrated substance misuse treatment program for yourself or a loved one, the Zion Apartment Program might be a good option. With lush greenery, lakeside beaches, cozy cafes, and delicious soul food less than a half-hour drive away, you'll receive 24/7 support with the comfort of home.
