About La Frontera Center – Southwest Clinic

La Frontera Arizona is a behavioral health care nonprofit organization with locations across the state. They partner with community leaders to solve social, health and community challenges in the areas they serve. They provide resources for homelessness, substance abuse, mental illness and co-occurring disorders. They serve children, adults and veterans.

Their Southwest Clinic is located in Tucson in the Fairgrounds. This clinic is easily accessible off the I-10 and also within walking distance to transit stops. They offer substance use services including medication assisted treatment (MAT) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP).

Substance Use Services in Tucson

La Frontera offers either methadone or Suboxone as part of their MAT program. I like that they have different medication options so that each client is able to get the best fit for them. In the MAT program, you also get access to individual, family and group counseling. They also run substance use groups that provide peer support. Clients can join the intensive outpatient program either with or without MAT.

If needed, La Frontera Southwest Clinic can get you in residential treatment for either substance use or mental health needs. They also run DUI groups where participants get a non-judgmental space to share their experiences.
