About L.A. Cada
L.A. CADA is a nonprofit addiction treatment center in Los Angeles, California offering a full continuum of substance use and behavioral health services across multiple facilities in LA County. Programs include outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient and residential inpatient care, withdrawal management and medication assisted treatment for adults and adolescents.
Recognized as the first Medi Cal funded residential program for transgender, intersex and non binary individuals in California, I think it's noteworthy how L.A. CADA provides client centered, trauma informed and recovery oriented care with a focus on underserved populations including homeless individuals, LGBTQIA2S+ communities and justice involved clients.
Addiction Treatment Programs
Treatment may begin with withdrawal management and medication assisted treatment using FDA approved medications for alcohol, opioid and tobacco use disorders. Clients can then transition into residential inpatient programs or step into intensive outpatient and outpatient services based on their needs and recovery goals.
L.A. CADA uses evidence based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and relapse prevention, along with individual and group counseling, family therapy and intensive case management. I think it's beneficial that the organization addresses co-occurring mental health disorders and offers specialized services such as drug education and parenting education, anger management and harm reduction supports.
