About Kirby Rehabilitation

Kirby Rehabilitation provides substance abuse treatment for adolescents and adults in Chicago, Illinois. They also have various other services for issues that frequently accompany addiction, including domestic violence programs, DUI services and anger management.

Whole Person Approach to Care

One aspect of Kirby Rehabilitation I really liked is that they address the symptoms of addiction, but also other areas of your life that contribute to substance use. The goal is to provide a healthy recovery so you overcome addiction for good. It offers an alternative to inpatient care and allows you the flexibility to continue working or attending school while getting treatment.

Customized Treatment for Your Needs

Part of your care includes having an assigned primary counselor who will help you develop a treatment plan based on your recovery needs and goals. The center will also provide connections to support organizations and resources that cater to your recovery plan. One of the unique aspects I found was the telehealth option for clients needing even more flexibility.

Their adult programming includes Level 1 and 2 DUI services for those with driving under the influence violations. This service includes early intervention and involves evaluations, risk education, and early intervention.

They have a partner abuse intervention program for males, females, and non-binary persons.

Kirby also partners with the community to provide addiction treatment. They work with the circuit courts, Youth Peace Center of Roseland, Roseland Community Hospital for detox services, and Roseland Chamber of Commerce, among many others.

They accept many health insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield and Meridian Medicaid.
