Kenneth Young Center is a nonprofit accredited by The Joint Commission and partners with communities to provide prevention and treatment services for people of all ages. For me, their LGBTQ+ Center Programs really stood out. They offer a safe space for youth and young adults to connect with others they resonate with. You can access recreational events, support groups, training, and consultations.

Another notable feature for me was their holistic approaches. Along with proven therapeutic interventions, you can participate in mindfulness and expressive activities to heal your mind, body, and soul.

Multiple Treatment Options

I also think it’s great that they provide three treatment group options for outpatient care. They understand that abstinence is not for everyone. You can access abstinence or harm reduction classes.

Lastly, I think it’s beneficial that they offer multiple harm reduction services. You can participate in overdose prevention training and receive Naloxone kits. Drug testing strips, safe sex supplies, and HIV services are also available.
