About ACTS Juvenile Addiction Receiving Facility (JARF)

ACTS Therapeutic Group Home is a residential group care with 12 beds for adolescent males aged 12 to 17 in Tampa, Florida. This is a 3-6 month program that helps teens handle behavioral challenges. These may include substance use issues as well as dually diagnosed substance use and mental issues. They can also help you overcome emotional issues resulting from past trauma, abuse or neglect.

The facility provides a structured and supportive space for peer interaction and learning. They give you a chance to meet your personal recovery goals and achieve ongoing success. They’re well equipped to ensure comfort for the teens. They boast spacious bedrooms, large living areas and gaming rooms. Food, toiletries and bedding are provided.

The program begins with an initial assessment during intake. This helps the clinical team create a treatment plan tailored to your recovery needs.

You’ll attend group and individual therapy sessions while onsite. These therapies are pretty intensive. They help you build healthy habits, make better choices and prevent relapse. This park has great walking trails, picnic areas and opportunities for kayaking. The Florida Aquarium and the Tampa Bay History Center might be worth a visit as well.

The program incorporates educational access to help prepare you for a high school diploma or GED. Many other activities that support your lasting recovery may be available. It’s all about creating a path toward lasting recovery and independence.
