About John F Kennedy Behavioral Health Center
John F Kennedy Behavioral Health Center is a mental health facility located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They treat people for many different kinds of mental health conditions including substance use disorder (SUD) and alcohol use disorder (AOD). They are a non-profit agency committed to ensuring that people of all income levels have access to mental health care.
Treatment for SUD
They serve both adolescents and adults at their main office in Philadelphia. They have an intensive outpatient program that offers treatment several times a week for several hours a day. They also have a standard outpatient program that provides treatment once a week. I was happy to learn they have separate groups for teens and adults.
Medication Assisted Treatment in Philly
They can provide medication in some cases to minimize withdrawal symptoms and lower your cravings so you can lower your risk for a relapse. They have another facility just down the street that is a licensed methadone clinic for people recovering from opioid use disorder.
I like the fact that they have a medical mobile emergency team that can come out to you if you are having a mental health crisis. They can even admit you to an inpatient facility.
