About Jewish Family & Children’s Service – San Francisco

Jewish Family & Children's Service San Francisco (JFCS) is a community based nonprofit offering substance use treatment and mental health counseling in California.

The organization provides prevention, early intervention, and outpatient treatment for adolescents, adults, and older adults struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health concerns. JFCS delivers integrated, culturally responsive care which I believe meets clients where they are and supports lasting recovery.

Opioid Treatment Outpatient Program

JFCS's Opioid Treatment Outpatient Program is a specialized service for clients with opioid use disorder offering medication treatment alongside counseling and recovery support. The program combines evidence based medication with case management and therapeutic services tailored to each client's recovery goals.

Through individual and group counseling clients work with clinicians to address underlying issues such as trauma, stress, and co-occurring mental health challenges like depression and anxiety. Sessions focus on building coping skills, preventing relapse, and creating sustainable pathways to wellness.

Integrated Mental Health and Substance Use Care

JFCS provides integrated treatment that addresses both substance use and mental health concerns in a coordinated approach. Clients receive support for co-occurring conditions including anxiety, depression, and trauma, with services available in multiple languages to ensure culturally responsive care for diverse communities.
