About Interact of Michigan

Interact of Michigan is now part of Integrated Services of Kalamazoo (ISK) and provides outpatient substance use disorder treatment to people in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The transition occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic and was a response to a reduction in funding and the impacts of the pandemic. However, ISK provides a wide range of SUD services to the community with an emphasis on assisting people with SUD, co occurring disorders, severe mental illness, and trauma.

ISK is located in downtown Kalamazoo which is near popular Bronson Park. Likewise, you can take advantage of the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail and the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, offering cultural and natural enrichment opportunities for patients at ISK.

A Program Founded on Outreach

ISK focuses on treatment that meets people where they’re at. I discovered that this means you can access services in the community as well as at this facility.

For example, there is the Community Treatment Team which provides integrated recovery services for people struggling with mental illness. Meanwhile, the Assertive Community Treatment also works with people facing severe mental illness.

Outpatient Treatment for Adults

For SUD treatment, you can participate in the outpatient program which is geared towards adults ages 18 and up. They can also help people who need dual diagnosis support.

Along with SUD and mental health treatment, I like that ISK provides care for people who have experienced trauma and individuals experiencing their first episode psychosis.

ISK accepts insurance, Medicare and Medicaid, and offers sliding scale fees and financial assistance based on need.

Amenities

Private Rooms

In order to maintain a sense of autonomy, many private rehab facilities offer clients the ability to choose their own private rooms. The privacy and personal space ensure that the recovery process is as comfortable as possible.

Metropolitan Area

Addiction treatment in the metro area benefits clients by offering seamless connections from the city, around the state, and those seeking out-of-state treatment. Another benefit of attending a metro area drug rehab is that you’re close to major airports and ground transportation services.

Business Center

Business centers are a preferred amenity in many mental health and addiction recovery facilities and typically feature secure, high-speed internet, computer stations, printers, and related business technologies. Business centers are designed to enable professionals and students to continue to participate in work or school activities without leaving the treatment facility.
