About Integrated Care of Greater Hickory

Integrated Care of Greater Hickory (ICGH) is an addiction and mental health program for children and adolescents as well as adults based on the idea that you can focus on recovery, not just treatment. You'll find them in Hickory, North Carolina. You can get specialized intensive treatment programs here that allow you to get extensive care and you don’t need to go to inpatient detox first. They also have general outpatient treatment and medication assisted treatment, as well as the ability to refer you to inpatient treatment at a different ICGH location.

One unique element of the Hickory location is the Day One Recovery Homes program. If you struggle with substance use and are also homeless or in housing not conducive to recovery you can access a shared apartment along with your treatment program. The Day One program doesn’t just offer housing; it also offers employment and education assistance and life skills classes as well as transportation and peer support. Day One can also support those involved with the justice system.

In its mission to help the underserved communities of North Carolina, ICGH also offers Mobile Medical Services. This option delivers the same quality care directly to communities rather than onsite, providing critical care when and where it's needed.

If you're looking for flexibility, their telehealth option may appeal to you. Telehealth allows you to attend appointments remotely rather than in person. It's a great option to have just in case something comes up where you might miss an appointment or if you find you can't travel to an appointment. ICGH wants to make its services accessible to those who need them most and its telehealth program is a testament to that.
