Inland Behavioral and Health Services - Banning Family Community Health Center is a comprehensive medical and mental health clinic that is located in Banning, California. It is part of the greater Inland network which serves the Inland Empire region in Southern California. The network was formed over 40 years ago and initially only treated drug addiction. In 1998 more locations were added, and the nonprofit organization also began providing primary care to the surrounding community.
While the health center is not a free clinic, their locations do accept Medi-Cal, Medicare and select insurance plans. They also have a sliding scale fee based on demonstrated need if you’re uninsured.
Behavioral Health Care
The Center offers a wide array of services, including behavioral health care. The Banning location services also include psychotherapy along with outpatient care for substance use disorder (SUD). I found that since this location also has an onsite pharmacy, dual diagnosis support is also available for people who need it.
Holistic Psychotherapy Support
Often enough, addiction is triggered by other underlying mental health concerns or stress. They provide psychotherapy that includes stress reduction techniques, trauma management, anger and depression therapy, and even improving life skills for parenting and relationships. However, I did find that to access the psychotherapy services here, you’ll also need to be an active medical patient at Inland.
Additional Substance Abuse Care
While they provide psychotherapy services to the community, their Westside Counseling Center offers both prevention and outpatient care for adults experiencing drug and alcohol abuse. Likewise, that location also provides recovery services to support long term sobriety and to prevent relapse in people released from incarceration. Other services at the Westside Counseling Center location include crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, collateral services and case management services.
