About Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital Jing Bu

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital Behavioral Health Center is a 46 bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Vero Beach that provides comprehensive mental health care for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. The center delivers evidence based, trauma informed treatment for anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders, schizophrenia and co-occurring substance use disorders. Services include inpatient stabilization, outpatient therapy and intensive outpatient programming, all designed to promote stability and long term recovery.

Inpatient and Outpatient Mental Health Treatment

It’s good to know that the Behavioral Health Center provides 24/7 inpatient psychiatric services, with 12 beds designated for children and adolescents and 34 beds for adults. In addition to inpatient care, the center offers outpatient therapy and medication management for individuals who do not require hospitalization.

The clinical team incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution focused brief therapy, group therapy, music therapy, and animal assisted therapy. Each treatment plan is individualized to reflect the patient’s diagnosis, personal history, and recovery goals.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

I like that care also addresses conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, self harm behaviors, and suicidal thoughts through comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication oversight and structured therapeutic support. When you are managing both mental health and substance use concerns, integrated groups and relapse prevention education are included to support dual diagnosis recovery alongside psychiatric stabilization.

Intensive Outpatient Programs for Teens and Adults

Cleveland Clinic offers an adolescent intensive outpatient program for ages 13 to 17 years and an adult intensive outpatient program for ages 18 years and older. These programs meet 3 days per week for 3 hour sessions and typically include small groups of 8 to 12 participants.

The structured format allows individuals to receive focused therapeutic care while continuing to live at home. Programming may include substance use education, relapse prevention strategies, coping skill development and peer support. I like that they also coordinate electroconvulsive therapy, a specialized psychiatric treatment option that is not widely available along Florida’s Treasure Coast, when clinically appropriate.

The facility accepts Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare, and private pay arrangements.
Individuals and families can contact the center directly to learn more about inpatient, outpatient or intensive outpatient program services and begin the process of evaluation and admission.

Senior Drug & Alcohol Rehab

Young adults often develop addiction for different reasons than older individuals. That’s why a young adult program in Florida focuses on the unique pressures, needs, and challenges faced by young adults.
