About Imperium Welness – Closed

Just a few miles from Fort Lauderdale, Imperium Wellness offered addiction treatment in Tamarac, Florida. They helped adult men and women facing substance use disorders (SUD) through residential and outpatient programs, including medical detox.

While I enjoy the beautiful beaches and fast pace of bigger cities, they’re not always the best place to focus on healing and sobriety. Tarmarac isn’t a rural town by any means, but it has a more tranquil environment and fewer distractions.

Whole Life Recovery Plans

When looking for a facility to begin recovery, I think it’s important to pay close attention to how addiction is viewed. I was drawn to this facility’s philosophy that recovery is a healing process for the mind, body and spirit.

Clients received individual whole person centered treatment plans designed to help clients look toward long term recovery. Something else I noticed was that families were invited to play a significant role in treatment, which is important for support and accountability.

Medical Detox in Tamarac

Some treatment programs begin with either residential or outpatient treatment, leaving out an essential component for safe recovery. It’s not that these programs don’t believe detox is important, but they don’t have the staff required to offer medically supervised care.

This center provided 24/7 medical care for clients who needed to detox from a range of substances, including alcohol, opioids and cocaine. Clients frequently mentioned “feeling safe and supported during their detox process.” I appreciate that the staff focused on preparing clients for the transition from detox to longer term treatment or an outpatient program.

Dedicated Addiction Treatment for Men and Women

Another feature that made this treatment center stand out was that they offered gender specific programs, something not available at all facilities. I’ve found that programs designed to meet the unique needs of men and women encourage clients to be more open about sharing experiences. Many clients praised the “attentive, compassionate staff and comfortable accommodations” at Imperium Wellness.

Each alcohol rehab in Florida offers unique amenities and approaches, but most follow the same general guidelines. Treatment includes detox, rehabilitation, and maintenance. This is a proven approach to provide the greatest results for long-term recovery.

Men's Rehab

Gender-specific addiction treatment gives men who are struggling with substance use disorders a connection point to other men with similar struggles. This common ground can make a huge impact on men’s rehab in Florida.

Women's Rehab

Often, women who have a substance use disorder also have a co-occurring disorder. Women’s rehab in Florida often addresses both the addiction and mental health disorder with dual diagnosis treatment.

Senior Drug & Alcohol Rehab

If you're over the age of 65, elderly rehab in Florida gives you the opportunity to be in a treatment program with your peers. This tends to be helpful for older adults because they can receive mutual support and acceptance from their peers. These programs are specifically designed for seniors.
