About IIAR Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery

Within the Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, Illinois, is their Addiction Recovery program. They were formerly the IIAR Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery. They provide holistic, evidence-based substance use disorder treatment. They are known for treating adults struggling with any kind of substance addiction or a dual diagnosis i.e. dealing with a substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorder like depression or anxiety. Addiction Recovery tries to limit the financial barriers to treatment by accepting many insurance plans and offering financial assistance for those without coverage.

Outpatient treatment at Addiction Recovery has two intensity levels: partial hospitalization, which is the most intensive with daily sessions, and intensive outpatient with sessions held in the evening so you can maintain school, work, and family obligations. In individual, group, and family counseling, you’ll learn core recovery principles, relapse prevention, and coping strategies to use throughout their recovery and beyond. A continuing care program provides additional support to help clients maintain long-term sobriety.

Addiction Recovery at Carle BroMenn also offers inpatient detox for clients who need a higher level of care to manage the symptoms of withdrawal. Medication assisted treatment is also available to clients with an opioid addiction. This involves the use of prescription drugs to curb withdrawal symptoms and cravings without producing the high of opioid drugs.
