About HRDI Human Resources Development Institute

HRDI Human Resources Development Institute is located in Chicago, Illinois. They’re a subsidiary of Friend Health and have been helping people in underserved communities around the Chicago area since 1974. They strive to help with prevention, interventions and treatment for different substance use, mental health and community health concerns. What I really like about this program is that they’re eager to help expecting mothers along with mothers with younger children.

Core Care Services

They have several types of core care services like community crisis help and support, community based mental health care for veterans, outpatient mental health and substance use programs and targeted case management. They also have peer support groups and psychiatric rehab services.

Residential Treatment in Chicago

They have a residential treatment and recovery program that has 24 hour monitoring for men and women. They accept people who are addicted to alcohol or drugs, and they'll take pregnant women or parenting women. It should be noted they can handle up to 10 dependent children at a time up to 4 years of age.

I appreciate that they have a separate residential placement that’s also open 24 hours that is for people who are experiencing mental health problems. They place men and women at different locations.
