About Horizon Services
Horizon Services, Inc. was a San Jose, California-based substance abuse recovery program. They’ve unfortunately closed their doors, but during their time, they provided detoxification and inpatient treatment for men. Their staff specialized in individualized and culturally appropriate care, and didn’t turn anyone away due to their inability to afford care.

One thing I look for in an addiction treatment program is whether they have partnerships throughout the communities they serve. If they do, it shows a certain level of involvement throughout the area. Plus, it allows them to help those who might not fit their own programs through referrals to additional services.
This location referred clients to Alameda County and San Mateo County to local programs, some of which had different intake criteria. By doing this, they were able to connect those unsuited for their own services with appropriate care.
