About Alcoholism and Addiction Assistance Association Hope House

Hope House Men’s Sober House in Phoenix, Arizona, is a men’s-only transitional space for adults seeking community and support while in addiction recovery. Priority is given to low-income and uninsured folks with little to no financial resources to draw from.

To remain accessible, no insurance is required for entry. Instead, the house operates on an affordable, sliding scale fee model. It also receives funding and donations from community partners and local organizations to cover costs for individuals who’re unable to pay.

A Residential Drug Rehab and Transitional Living Space For Men

While here, you’ll have access to inpatient addiction treatment programming to support you in staying sober. From here, you can begin to rebuild your life, one step at a time.

The house provides a supportive setting for growth and healing, as you adapt to independent living, while maintaining accountability through complete abstinence.

I think it’s helpful that you’ll also be expected to engage in regular support groups, relapse prevention, 12-step, and recovery skills meetings. As the house is all about supporting sustained sobriety, residents typically end up sticking around here longer than their average rehab stay, sometimes extending to several months or over a year.

Community-Focused Recovery in Arizona’s Capital

While here, you’ll stay in dorm-style accommodations with access to various communal areas, including shared kitchens. You’ll be encouraged to engage regularly with your peers while adhering to a structured daily routine designed to support your wellbeing and ongoing sobriety.

I like that residents are also encouraged to seek employment while staying here, and for that, the house is ideally placed near the Black Canyon Freeway, with easy access across Phoenix.

You’re also based near various commercial and community centers which are ideal for job hunting, volunteering opportunities, and general convenience. St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is also within easy reach for medical support needs.
