About Hope Center Ministries Paris Womens Center

The Paris Women's Center is a faith based residential recovery program that’s operated by a larger network called Hope Center Ministries. They’re located in Paris, Tennessee. This program is, as they stated, unapologetically Christ-focused. It guides women affected by substance misuse toward a journey of lasting healing rooted in biblical principles.

The great thing is that you’ll have fun as you navigate recovery within the framework of Christ's teaching. This program is nondiscriminatory. They’ll accept you even if you’re an unbeliever or from another faith. The main is for you to show a genuine desire to recover. They also accept individuals involved with the criminal justice system. It’s a long term residential care lasting at least one year.

Recovery in Suburban Paris

Paris is known for its small-town charm and closeness to Kentucky Lake. This makes it a desirable location for residential recovery. The clinic is situated in a quiet and peaceful setting within the Paris suburb. It is easily accessible from Clarksville and Jackson via US-79. West Tennessee Public Transportation offers demand-response services in Henry County. This can help you get to and from the facility when you’ve something urgent to do offsite. There’s no direct Greyhound or Amtrak service in Paris. The nearest station is in Jackson.

Faith-Centered Recovery with Progressive Steps

To better support residents throughout their one year residential treatment here, the program is broken into three recovery phases. The first phase incorporates many intensive but beneficial recovery-focused activities that last for four weeks. This phase reflects the core religious roots of this program and guides you toward personal spiritual development. You’ll attend bible studies, devotions and daily reflection. This strengthens your faith and provides a supportive spiritual foundation for overcoming addiction. It’s an avenue to build relationships with other sisters in recovery.

You’ll also participate in individual and group lay counseling to deepen your spiritual understanding and foster a sense of community with the sisters. The program also incorporates twelve-step practices and you’re required to attend meetings and work the steps. Thankfully, various AA Meetings are held at local churches and community centers within a five-mile radius of the facility. Additionally, they offer Celebrate Recovery. This is similar to 12-step meetings but with a strong faith-based focus. It incorporates biblical principles along with the 12 steps to address addiction and mental issues.

Working Toward Independent Living

You’re expected to actively support the smooth running of the facility by helping with daily chores including cooking, cleaning and laundry. They emphasize family involvement as well. This makes sense because a positive family dynamic can help your lasting healing. Moreover, it’s an opportunity to bring the family closer to Christ. This is achieved here through family support nights, foundation classes and interactive topical courses. Others are weekly Celebrate Recovery and weekend church services. They also allow visitation opportunities after your 30 days of probation.

Recreation and exercise are integral components of the program. You’ll have fun while navigating healing here. They offer gym membership with weekly opportunities for exercise. You'll also enjoy Saturday fun day activities like paintball and skydiving. Additionally, residents go on weekend retreats to the mountains and beaches. Residents can also benefit from the recreational opportunities provided by the various natural landmarks here. Paris Landing State Park offers boating, fishing and camping options along Kentucky Lake. The McNeill Park, situated four miles west, has great picnic areas and the Eiffel Tower Park offers sporting facilities.

Work Therapy and Employment Readiness Training

The second phase of the program lasts 40 weeks. The program will evolve at this stage to best serve your core needs. Daily chores are supplemented with 40 hours per week of vocational training. You’ll get to learn real world job readiness skills that prepare you for a life after the program.

The third phase of the program eases into a life outside the program. At this stage, you’ll enjoy more privileges like using your personal vehicles and phone. You’ll learn financial literacy skills and is expected to be earning income through the work of your hand. This phase lasts for eight weeks. The staff can assist you in securing stable accommodation and jobs as you prepare to reenter the community. They may also provide ongoing support as you adjust to life outside.
