About Homeward Bound

Homeward Bound’s Behavioral Health Care Agency is located in Dallas, Texas. They’ve been around since 1980 using evidence based treatment methods to help people battling mental health and substance use issues.

I noticed that they provide outpatient, residential and detox services for people living in several different countries around the Dallas area.

Outpatient Services

You can get counseling and education support here as well as help from peers if you’re dealing with a mental health problem or experiencing a co-occurring issue with drugs and or alcohol. They’ll help you with education for a successful recovery and help develop coping skills. The outpatient program can last three to four months.

Residential & Detox Programs

They have a unique residential program that helps people who are living with HIV focus on behavioral health with group therapy and life skills training. They have individualized treatment plans for you in a supportive and comfortable environment.

A medically monitored detox unit is available for folks with substance use disorders and are experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Admission is first come first served on weekdays. Patients stay in detox here for either five or seven days.

What I really like about this treatment center is that they have a special needs program for people with HIV.
