About Hiway 80 Rescue Mission New Creation Discipleship Recovery Program

The Hiway 80 Rescue Mission has been serving vulnerable people for more than 65 years. Today, they have a total of four campuses with locations in Longview and Tyler, Texas. Their New Creation Discipleship program is a Christ-centered addiction recovery. It’s a residential program that lasts 10 months. Their goal is to help people become independent. They have separate residences for men and women.
The program includes spiritual devotions and discipleship classes as well as Bible study and scripture memorization. Work therapy, peer accountability, recovery skills and relapse prevention classes are also core parts of treatment. You'll also have one-one-one counseling, tutoring and work with a case manager. Your case manager will meet with you weekly for accountability as well as encouragement. At the end of the 10-months, there’s a graduation ceremony to celebrate your success.
Their Longview location also has an emergency shelter, community meals, a clothing closet, laundry and shower facilities. They also offer special programs for women including GED preparation, tutoring, parenting classes, money management and counseling.
