About His Place
Located in Opelika, Alabama, His Place is a faith based addiction treatment center for men. Offering a year long inpatient program consisting of Christian based programming, discipleship, and rehabilitation.
His Place was founded in 1996 by Rick Hagans with the mission of helping men over the age of 19 who are struggling with addiction and other forms of controlling issues. The program provides men a place to stay, relapse prevention training, Bible teachings, and financial literacy. Support is also available for other emotional challenges like anger management, grief, forgiveness, and developing inner strength. Classes run Monday through Friday, and men have to agree to a set of strict rules for one year that prohibits medication, nicotine, and any substance, require random drug tests, and restrictions on leaving the facility. Men are also expected to work at the facility for several hours a week.
His place is a nonprofit organization and programs are available to residents for free based on charitable donations.

Benefits of an inpatient program include increased safety, a higher success rate, and the time and distance given to focus on recovery. Peer support is crucial to recovery, and the first few months of sobriety are often the most vulnerable. Sober living in Alabama provides safe housing and structured living conditions to help you maintain abstinence during this time.
