About Hibiscus Childrens Center – Vero Beach

The Hibiscus Children’s Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting at risk children and their families. Among the many services provided at their Hibiscus Children’s Village location in Vero Beach, Florida, they provide trauma informed care for abused children and teens, including mental health care. This may include addiction care, too, though clients may be referred to their dedicated outpatient SUD program instead. The Village includes six residences for youth in need.
A Long Term Home
The children who find themselves at the center’s campus typically come from tragic backgrounds where they faced neglect, abandonment and abuse. These traumas led to them being removed from their homes and placed in special care. This location welcomes these kids with open arms and allows them to stay at the center until they are 18. Until that time, they receive all the clinical and medical treatment they need, in addition to education support, to prepare them for adulthood.
A Path to Independence
Staff work around the clock to ensure residents remain on the right track and are meeting their developmental and educational milestones as they address their mental health needs. Career preparation is also a part of the process and teaches clients valuable work skills. GED services are also available for those who don’t participate in the public school system.
