About Heritage House North
Heritage House North is now permanently closed. It was a residential addiction treatment center in a quiet Orange County neighborhood of Anaheim, California. It served women, including those who were pregnant or parenting young children, offering a safe, structured space to pursue recovery.
Home for Women in Recovery
At Heritage, it was good that women could stay in private or shared rooms within a residential style setting. The program offered roughly six months of care, accommodating not just the clients but also their children. This allowed mothers to work on healing without worrying about losing custody.
What Made Heritage House North Different
I like that this facility wasn’t a “cookie cutter” rehab. They offered a wide range of services beyond detox and counseling, including group therapy, individual sessions, relapse prevention, trauma informed care, life skills and job readiness training.
Clients weren’t just getting clean. They were rebuilding their lives. For women with past trauma or mental health issues, the availability of dual diagnoses and trauma treatment must have been particularly beneficial.
While Heritage House is no longer serving local women, you can find nearby options in Anaheim and Orange County offering specialized programs for mothers, trauma informed care and dual diagnosis support.
