About Heres Hope Counseling Center – Closed

Here’s Hope Counseling Center was an outpatient behavioral health facility that also emphasized aftercare for its participants in Dyersburg, Tennessee. The facility focused on education and healing to ensure that clients had the skills necessary to manage independently after completing the program. This center is now closed.

Dyersburg has a rich natural scene which includes countless parks like Future City Recreation Center. Meanwhile, historical attractions like Fork Deer Park are also great excursions to enjoy after completing a counseling session.

Graduated Outpatient Care

Here’s Hope offered an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and a standard outpatient program that really impressed me The IOP met frequently and was better suited for someone who was just beginning their sobriety. The standard program was for someone on a medication assisted treatment (MAT) plan but needed to step down from IOP or a residential program at an alternate facility.

Regardless of the modality you selected, all outpatient programs provided comprehensive counseling support that can include individual, group, family, or couples sessions via behavioral therapy or motivational interviewing. There were also the 12 Steps, trauma related counseling, anger management, matrix modeling, and relapse prevention services.

Special Populations

Another feature I liked with Here’s Hope was that they focussed on supporting vulnerable groups. This included people with HIV or AIDs, Hepatitis, co-occurring mental health illnesses, and even those referred through the judicial or court system.

Essential Aftercare

Here’s Hope understood that life after achieving sobriety could be full of triggers that can derail your progress. Their case managers worked to connect you with essential social services either through government agencies or community organizations. From building employment skills to securing housing, your case manager was there to help.

Here’s Hope Counseling Center accepted Medicaid, federal and government funding for substance abuse programs, and offered a sliding fee scale based on demonstrated need. Even though they’re closed in Dyersburg, they have another location in Union City.
