About Hegira Health Community Outreach for Psychiatric Emergencies
Hegira Health Community Outreach for Psychiatric Emergencies is located in Lavinia, Michigan. This program, shortened to COPE, is designed to mobilize adult crisis services across Wayne County. It’s for adults who have Medicaid, Healthy Michigan or no coverage. There’s no cost to individual users. COPE is funded by the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority.
Mobile crisis teams are available 24/7. They help resolve crises and deal with your urgent needs. What I like about this service is that it gives people a single point of entry for any behavioral health care. Mobile crisis teams provide up to 28 days of followup to support clients.
COPE also offers crisis stabilization units. You can get a psychiatric assessment at any time of day. They'll also provide you medication including filling prescriptions. I like that you can also get your basic needs met including having a shower, a meal and clothing.
