During acute crisis stabilization, you’ll participate in group therapy and medication management. You’ll receive a detailed recovery plan and a personalized aftercare plan. If you choose inpatient addiction treatment then you’ll participate in community meetings, journal time and skills groups. They also offer family therapy and recreational therapy. While in the detox unit you’ll also engage in group therapy, psychoeducation and peer recovery groups.
Addiction treatment is based on the 12 step model and has physical, social and spiritual components. Goal setting and cognitive restructuring are the main focus of counseling sessions. There is a geriatric inpatient psychiatric unit for adults 65 and older. The child and adolescent inpatient psychiatric program is for kids aged eight through 17. The adult psychiatric unit accepts 24 hour admissions. It’s recommended that you call first and get a phone screen before coming into the facility.
One thing that’s unique about HealthSource Saginaw is that they have fine dining, a barber shop, laundry service and a pharmacy on site.
