HealthQuest the Summits in Cordova, Tennessee, was founded to serve the growing need for addiction and mental health care in Tennessee. Since 1994 they've provided individualized treatment plans that recognize the unique strengths and goals of individuals seeking support. They have mental health programs for kids and adults and substance abuse programs for adults. These are delivered on an outpatient basis. They accept many private insurance plans as well as Medicare and Medicaid.
Something about their programs I like is that they offer opioid treatment separately from their drug and alcohol counseling. I like this because it recognizes that the severity of opioid use disorder and its symptoms require special care.
Avoiding Hospital Care When It Isn't Necessary
The Summits can save you time (and money!) by treating you without the need for hospital services. In their program, you'll receive care in their casual clinic setting, which you may find more relaxed than a hospital.
Finding the Right Level Of Care
HealthQuest offers intensive outpatient treatment plans, which allow you to keep living at home while still getting a high level of care when you visit the clinic. But something I enjoy about their program is that if an outpatient program isn't the appropriate level of care for you, staff will recommend a residential or partial hospitalization program instead.
It may seem like a small thing, but think of it this way: they're really looking out for your best interest, not theirs. They could just as easily treat everyone who comes through their doors, but they want you to get the right kind of help, even if it isn't with them.
