About Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation Chaska
Based in Chaska, Minnesota, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is an accredited and licensed outpatient addiction treatment clinic. You’ll find this facility in the southwest suburban spot of the Twin Cities. Support is available to adults aged 18 and older and their families, including LGBTQIA+ folk. Those with concurrent mental health conditions can also receive treatment here.
At this facility, clients can benefit from a complete range of treatment levels, as well as flexible sessions in the morning, evening and even virtually through their telehealth sessions. This is of course ideal for anyone who may struggle to make regular in person appointments, or those with especially busy schedules to work around.
Clients are assigned a primary addiction counselor and benefit from coordinated and synchronized care. Treatment includes thorough mental health and addiction assessments, integrated mental health services, day treatment, intensive outpatient and lower intensity treatment levels. Individuals can also receive parallel services for their families here.
This center’s intensive outpatient programs (IOP) offer individuals a range of support, including addiction education, mental health services, focus groups, 12 Step meetings as well as group, individual and couples therapy sessions. Their educational sessions are designed to help clients understand the dynamics and causes behind addiction and the important role that recovery plays. On the whole, their programs are designed to help individuals adapt healthier practices and coping mechanisms into their lives, as well as build reliable sober support networks for themselves. This is all done through personalized treatment plans and goal setting exercises. Intensive outpatient programming takes place over three to four days per week, with specialty programs for LGBTQIA+ individuals, as well as male and female identifying participants.
An important part of their intensive outpatient program is also to help individuals smoothly transition back to their professional, occupational or academic lives and responsibilities. A lower-intensity outpatient approach exists as a tier below their regular program for those further along in their recovery. On principle, it isn’t so different but it mostly involves group sessions.
The center’s day treatment option, also known as partial hospitalization (PHP), is classed as the highest tier of outpatient drug rehab available. During day treatment, participants will attend sessions four to five days a week for five to six hours a day. This option is recommended for those in need of more intensive outpatient care.
