About Hazelden Betty Ford | Rancho Mirage
The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation of Rancho Mirage, California is accredited by The Joint Commission. Their organization is also LegitScript certified. They’re a comprehensive addiction rehab facility with inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) care.
Insurance is accepted. If you do not have insurance, they will determine if you are eligible for financial aid.
When you arrive, the treatment team is going to conduct an evaluation to learn about your specific situation. They will evaluate your mental health, medical health and your substance use history. All this information will help them design your customized treatment plan, which can include detox.
The team members assigned to you may consist of physicians, nurses, counselors and nutritionists to name a few. They are gender informed, so you will be placed among your peers based on how you identify.
Outpatient treatment is also available in the form of partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and low intensity outpatient treatment. The difference among them is mostly the amount of time you spend in treatment sessions.
With the partial hospitalization program (PHP), you attend treatment four to five days per week for five to six hours a day. Some people transition to this level of care while others begin their recovery journey at this level.
Allowing a little more flexibility is the intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) program. You’ll attend your sessions three to four hours per week for a few hours a day.
They also have specialty programs you can be a part of. Those speciality programs are for male identifying, female identifying, LGBTQ+ and those struggling with an opioid use disorder.
The low intensity outpatient program is for those who have completed the other levels of care. You’ll attend group sessions weekly and individual counseling monthly.
