About Habilitative Systems Inc

Tabitha House in Chicago, Illinois is a transitional house that helps people continue their recovery from chemical dependency. This house is run by Habilitative Systems which is accredited by CARF. They can house up to 16 women who are in the recovery process from drugs or alcohol. They accept private insurance, self-pay and Medicaid.

Tabitha House is a level three treatment which means that patients live on-site. This can be either short or long-term stays depending on the needs of each individual. In this program, women will get individual counseling to help them address the root causes of their addiction and learn how to heal and move forward without substance use.

Residents will also participate in group counseling where they will learn from and get support from their peers. These small group sessions are led by a trained therapist who will facilitate the session. As a group, you’ll process your experiences and learn healthy ways to deal with stress and anger and how to reframe negative thoughts.

I like that women also get intensive case management services. Your case manager will help you remove obstacles that stand in the way of you reaching your goals and living a drug-free life. The unique needs of each female differ and may include family reunification, community linkage, legal case support, employment or education help and much more.

A big focus of your time at Tabitha House will be to find employment and permanent housing. Staff will help you move toward those goals so that you can begin a new chapter in your life.
