About The Guidance Center Murfreesboro
Located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is the Volunteer Behavioral Health Guidance Center in Murfreesboro. This is a nonprofit outpatient care facility that serves residents throughout Murfreesboro and the surrounding area. They also serve homeless individuals through the PATH program, children through their school-services and Project BASIC, and families.
If you're struggling with substance use or are facing challenges with your mental health such as depression, PTSD, or anxiety, you’ll find supportive care here.
They accept TennCare and have different family assistance services that can help make access to medical and mental healthcare along with addiction recovery treatment more accessible. You will not be denied care because of an inability to pay.
Volunteer Behavioral Health is a well established organization that operates throughout Tennessee. One of their policies that allows them to stand out from other providers in the area is their “No Wrong Door” approach to care. Under this policy, anyone can show up to any of their locations, including the Murfreesboro clinic, to receive same day services, no matter their struggles.
When you receive services here, you can expect to find both evidence based therapies and person-focused support. There’s everything from medication assisted treatment (MAT) to psychiatric support to group therapy for clients as young as 15, to intervention and prevention services. As of this writing, they’re developing a crisis stabilization and detox unit. But if you need inpatient care, they’ll refer you to their Cookeville location.
As you work with your care team, your treatment plan will be adjusted as needed so that you get the right services for your recovery.
