About GRC: Robinson

GRC Robinson was an outpatient addiction treatment center in Robinson Township, Pittsburgh part of the GRC Advanced Recovery Network serving the region since 1972. The facility offered comprehensive outpatient programs including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment and regular outpatient services for adults and young adults struggling with substance use disorders.

Treatment combined evidence based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing with family involvement and peer support to help clients build lasting recovery.

Outpatient Addiction Treatment

GRC Robinson specialized in flexible outpatient care for alcohol and drug addiction, including opioid use disorders treated with medication assistance such as naltrexone. I think it's important to note that the center provided multiple levels of outpatient support, from day treatment and intensive programs to ongoing maintenance counseling, allowing clients to step down as they progress.

Sessions incorporated individual, group and family counseling using cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, anger management and relapse prevention techniques.

Treatment addressed underlying issues driving addiction while building practical coping skills, with comprehensive assessments, breathalyzer and urine screening and outcome follow up to track progress. I think it's valuable how the reviews consistently praised the caring staff and one on one attention, with alumni returning for years and describing the experience as feeling like family.

Family Centered Care

The center offered dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, addressing both conditions simultaneously for better outcomes. Family programs at all care levels help loved ones understand addiction, navigate codependency and actively support the recovery process.

Access and Getting Started

GRC Robinson served clients throughout the Pittsburgh region with telehealth counseling options and convenient access from I-79 and Route 60. The facility was accredited by The Joint Commission and the state department of health as part of the largest addiction recovery network in greater Pittsburgh.

The center accepted Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance, VA funds and self payment with sliding scale options available.
