Greenbriar Treatment Center Lighthouse for Women is a halfway house located in Washington, Pennsylvania. They house women who have a substance use disorder or alcohol use disorder. They accept Medicaid and most forms of private insurance.

The halfway house is a place to transition back to normal life after going through inpatient treatment. Some of the women who live here may have been incarcerated for drug-related crimes. Everyone who stays in the halfway house agrees to stay sober.

Halfway House Life

Residents can leave during the day, although you may have a curfew. You will also have to take an occasional drug test. You and your roommates will be expected to do chores. You will also participate in 12 Step and house meetings.

Residents are encouraged to work or attend school. Greenbriar is a well-established business with strong ties to the community.

I was impressed to learn that the residents often participate in community events. I also liked the fact that women who had been through treatment said the company's rehab services were fun and even lifesaving.
