Located in West Burlington, Iowa, Mental Health Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center offers a behavioral health department that’s part of Great River Health medical system. This part of the medical center provides inpatient and outpatient mental health support and medication management for adults and adolescents. They treat addiction, mental illness, personality disorders and psychiatric disorders. You’ll engage in group and individual psychotherapy and psychological testing to help you heal.

You may qualify for treatment if you’re experiencing substance abuse, sleeping problems, relationship conflicts and significant mood instability. You’ll be treated with respect and dignity as the staff works with you to manage your symptoms and navigate recovery. During treatment you’ll receive a diagnostic evaluation, medication management, medical care and counseling.

This campus provides inpatient mental health care for adults aged 18 and over and is able to accommodate up to eight patients at a time. The goal of treatment through this program is the stabilization of thoughts, emotions and behaviors. When you’re admitted to the program you’ll be treated according to your psychiatric symptoms after a comprehensive evaluation. You might benefit from inpatient care if you experience suicidal thoughts or ideation, anxiety that interferes with your daily living and feelings of sadness that last more than two weeks.

Getting treated here could be advantageous for you if you have other physical ailments that would need treatment at a larger hospital system. You’ll have convenient access to a variety of health care services.
