About Great Lakes Recovery Centers Womens New Hope House
Great Lakes Recovery Centers serves clients in Michigan’s upper peninsula. The New Hope House in Sault Sainte Marie is their CARF-accredited facility for women. Up to 22 clients at a time can get medical detox and residential services here. I like that residents can bring children under 11 years to live with them at the center.
At New Hope House, you’ll live in communal quarters with other women who are on the path to recovery. You'll participate in 40 hours of core and life skill group sessions each week on top of individual counseling. The staff is on hand 24/7 to help you with any withdrawal symptoms or issues that come up. Treatment includes a variety of group programs focused on topics like women's health, nutrition, parenting and spirituality.
There is on site child care so mothers can engage in treatment services. School age children will attend school. I like that New Hope also offers weekly counseling services for children between five and 11 years old as well as their mothers.
