About Great Lakes Recovery Centers – Marquette Outpatient Services

Great Lakes Recovery Centers are a number of nonprofit behavioral health providers serving Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. They’ve been operating for over 40 years and offer a range of substance use disorder programs and services, mental health care, recovery housing, prevention services, and child and adolescent care.

Their Marquette outpatient services is located in a discreet building tucked away from major roads. Yet, it’s still close to amenities including green space and community gardens.

Outpatient Addiction Treatment in Marquette

During the assessment process a trained clinician will walk you through the assessment process. This will determine if their treatment is right for you. If necessary, I noticed that they’ll refer you to detox services or residential treatment.

Their main form of care for addiction is medication assisted treatment (MAT). This can help relieve withdrawals and cravings. It’s part of their Opioid Health Home program. You’ll have a designated nurse who’ll coordinate your care, including primary medical services and therapy options. I was impressed that they also have programs for schooling and finding steady work.
