About GraceWay Recovery Residence
GraceWay Recovery is a women's residential facility. They’re located in Albany, Georgia. They treat women with substance abuse as well as other addictions including disordered eating, self-harm and gambling. GraceWay has a 90-day curriculum that is focused on the principles in the 12 steps of recovery. Commercial insurance does not cover this private facility but they do have flexible payment options.
I like that they have developed workbooks so that working through the 12 steps is engaging. You'll do a lot of reflection as you work through these exercises. Women will also have individual and group therapy sessions. You'll also focus on your physical health. You'll have three healthy meals everyday and will help prepare these meals. Your schedule will include at least four hours of physical activity each week. This may include yoga, Zumba or other classes at local gyms.
GraceWay recovery provides you with a home-like environment. I like that you'll be responsible for household chores and cooking. You'll also develop other life skills that will help you after you leave. Relapse prevention and job readiness are also important topics that will be addressed here.
