About Gateway Community Services

Gateway Main Campus and Detox provides substance abuse and mental health treatment for adolescents and adults in Jacksonville, Florida. They have detox, residential treatment and outpatient programs available. Their residential treatment offers a secure, structured setting where residents can focus on recovery without outside distractions. Outpatient treatment provides more flexibility for those who want to live at home while getting care.

The detox program is medically supervised for safety. This service is available 24/7, and they allow walk-in treatment. Medication management is available to help lessen withdrawal symptoms and reduce drug cravings.

Individual therapy sessions provide one on one time with a professional in a confidential setting where you can discuss any issues hindering recovery. You can work on developing healthy coping skills, recognizing substance use triggers and learning relapse prevention methods.

Group therapy allows opportunities with others in recovery who can understand your unique struggles with substance use. Members can offer valuable feedback regarding your sobriety and become a community of support that encourages your progress throughout the program.

They use the 12 Step recovery model, which teaches accountability and responsibility for your actions and recovery. You will have a community of like-minded people, all sharing the same goal of long term sobriety.

Family counseling can help loved ones understand more about how addiction affects relationships and how to set appropriate boundaries conducive to sobriety. You can work through challenges as a family unit and have support for your recovery.

Aftercare is available through their continuing care group therapy sessions. These sessions assist with maintaining ongoing sobriety and keep you connected to peers for healthy, sober interactions.
