About Gary Miller
The Gary E. Miller Canadian County Children's Justice Center provides behavioral health and substance use treatment n El Reno, Oklahoma for children, adolescents, and qualifying adults across the County.
The center offers assessments, outpatient and intensive outpatient care and an adolescent residential program, drawing on proven approaches and trauma-informed counseling.
The center provides a connected continuum of care that brings treatment, education and family support together under one roof.
Adolescent Residential Substance Use Treatment
The Fort Reno Adolescent Center is a 12-bed residential program that I noted provides care for youth ages 13 to 17.6.
Treatment blends therapy with relapse prevention, anger management, contingency management and 12-step facilitation.
Residents receive 24-hour supervision from Youth Guidance Specialists alongside recreational therapy, weekly outings, AA meetings, mentorship and life-skills support.
On-site schooling through the Canadian County Education Center includes credit recovery, HISET/GED prep, and college coursework while nightly phone calls and family visitation keep loved ones closely involved.
Outpatient and Family-Centered Care
Outpatient and intensive outpatient services are available for adolescents meeting specific criteria and for adults referred through Canadian County DHS or the courts.
I appreciate that care includes individual and group work, family therapy, case management, peer recovery support, random drug screening and aftercare planning.
