About Free At Last

Free At Last is a drug and alcohol rehab and resource center in East Palo Alto, California. This non-profit organization provides residential addiction treatment, outpatient addiction treatment, a DUI first-offender program, a drop-in center, prevention and street outreach, and transitional sober living. All programs at Free at Last are bilingual in English and Spanish. This facility also helps individuals reentering society from incarceration and reuniting families.

Free at Last bases its programs on a model of social immersion and peer-to-peer support. Residential treatment programs are separated by men and women. The 14-bed three month three-month-long women’s residential program allows women to bring their children under the age of six. The men’s residential program has 18 beds and lasts for three months. The outpatient drug and alcohol program is a three-month program consisting of process groups, individual counseling sessions, 12-step meetings, case management, and educational sessions.
