About Rosenblum Mental Health Center

Florida Parishes Human Services Authority (FPHSA) - Rosenblum Behavioral Health Clinic in Hammond, Louisiana, provides treatment for mental health, substance addiction and problem gambling. They also have prevention programs including Zero Suicide. They have a discounted fee schedule, and no one is turned away because they cannot pay.

Recovery Services for Adults and Youth in Hammond

The Hammond clinic is the largest FPHSA location for mental health and addiction treatment, serving Livingston, Tangipahoa and St. Helena parishes. I like that the mental health and addiction services include all ages. It can sometimes be challenging to find addiction treatment for youth under 18, but you can find that here in Hammond.

Services include typical outpatient individual and group counseling, medication management and family therapy. They also have peer support services and medication assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use.

I also noticed the clinic distributes naloxone (Narcan) for free to help prevent overdoses. They provide information about overdoses and training on how to use naloxone in an emergency.

Specialty Services for Gambling Disorder and Suicide Prevention

The Rosenblum Behavioral Health Clinic is part of a program called Zero Suicide. This program includes education workshops on how to intervene when someone has suicidal thoughts. This caught my eye because mental health concerns often happen alongside substance use so having a clear framework for crisis situations makes a lot of sense.

They also have free counseling for Gambling Disorder at this clinic, provided by a certified professional. Those struggling with gambling and their loved ones can both get support. You don’t have to stop gambling before attending the program, and you’ll be encouraged to set your own goals.
