About Florida Palms Academy

Florida Palms Academy is a children's residential psychiatric treatment program in Hollywood, Florida, offering specialized inpatient mental health and behavioral health care for youth ages 6 to 14.

Serving children statewide through Florida's Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program (SIPP) framework, the facility, I've seen, integrates psychiatric treatment, accredited education and family therapy to support young people with serious emotional and behavioral challenges.

The program's mission is to stabilize children and prepare them to return to a less restrictive environment with strong family and in-home supports.

Youth and Adolescent Treatment and Therapeutic Services

Care begins with a comprehensive intake assessment, psychosocial evaluation, and multidisciplinary treatment planning, with a typical stay of four to six months.

Children receive residential psychiatric treatment, weekly medication management, and structured therapeutic programs in a community-based setting.

Clients participate in weekly individual, family and group psychotherapy, with approaches such as CBT, DBT, trauma therapy and behavior modification.

Substance abuse screening and counseling are available through a Certified Addiction Professional when indicated, I've found, along with recreational therapy, case management and psychological evaluations.
