About First Step Services of North Carolina

First Step Services provides an array of substance abuse programs in the Cary area of North Carolina. You can choose from a standard outpatient program or an intensive outpatient program. Aftercare and alumni support groups are a part of continuing care here. Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic School is also available at this location.

One important thing to note about this facility is they don’t provide medication assisted treatment. Although, many clients who use medications as a recovery tool attend treatment here. You’ll engage in individual and group therapy sessions. These may be in person or online. The general outpatient program has between 12 and 20 counseling sessions. Treatment can be spread across 12 weeks. The Together in Change intensive outpatient program includes sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
