Firetree’s Conewago Snyder center is a co-ed residential treatment and recovery facility for adults. You’ll find ‘em located out in rural Beavertown, Pennsylvania. They treat those affected by substance use disorder and co-occurring mental conditions, including tobacco. This 42-bed facility sits on a serene farmland setting surrounded by the peaceful charm.

Rolling hills, open fields and nearby wooded areas create a calming backdrop perfect for healing and personal growth. It’s an ideal space where you can reconnect with nature and focus on your recovery without the distractions of city life.

Its location on Route 522 provides straightforward road access to nearby towns and cities like Selinsgrove. You’re never too far from urban conveniences or opportunities to reconnect with city life. The facility boasts various amenities like a living and recreational area and a fitness center. The latter includes a gym, a basketball and volleyball courts among others.

They offer medical detox or withdrawal management and inpatient residential care to help you overcome substance dependence. Medical detox is a carefully managed withdrawal procedure with 24/7 monitoring by clinical experts. They may provide medication assisted treatment to ensure safe and comfortable withdrawal. Detox may last from 24 hours to a few days depending on your unique condition.

Your care team will help you transition to inpatient residential care when you’re stabilized and healthy. This structured program is led by caring clinical professionals who provide 24/7 guidance, support and personalized care. You can expect a holistic treatment that addresses your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs.

You’ll participate in individual and group counseling sessions and engage in community based support services. The therapy group provides you with access to various evidence-based treatment models. These include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational enhancement techniques and 12 Step. The latter includes both daily in-house and weekly community meetings that can last after you graduate from the program.

You’ll also attend substance use education classes and relapse prevention sessions. Their trauma therapy and education can provide relief for those who started “using” due to past traumatic experiences. Music and art therapy and daily recreational activities keep the program lively and exciting.

What stands out in this program is their enhanced life skill training. This isn’t just about soft skills like communication, managing stress, or solving problems. You’ll also pick up practical skills like gardening, nutrition, and resume-building. They’ll help you search for jobs to set you up for long-term recovery. They’ll even assist you in obtaining birth certificates, photo IDs and social security cards.

They also offer you an opportunity to earn certification in ServSafe and First Aid/CPR. ServSafe focuses on food safety and handling. This can further boost your employability and prepare you for real world responsibilities. A 30 minute virtual family visit is available and the facility also provides transportation support.
